Soča panoramic cycle path

Brda: Following the Giro d’Italia route
For experienced road cyclists (or with e-bike support)
It’s no coincidence that the Giro race has passed through the Goriška Brda several times in recent years. With its charming villages, breathtaking views, and rolling terrain, this is the perfect setting for an unforgettable cycling challenge. Seasoned riders can even test themselves on the Cerovo climb, a steep ascent connecting Vipolže with Cerovo.

Trnovo-Banjšice Plateau: primal and untouched
For gravel and adventure cyclists
From Solkan, you can ride (or drive) directly up to the Trnovo or Banjšice Plateau, where summer temperatures can be up to 10°C cooler. Endless gravel paths through pristine nature will leave you amazed.

Soča & Čepovan Valleys: from rails to trails
For true explorers
If you want to see and experience as much as possible in a short time, combine train and bike travel. From Solkan railway station, take your bike on the scenic train ride through the Soča Valley to Most na Soči (very affordable tickets!). From there, cycle up a gentle climb to Čepovan Valley, then descend back to Solkan on the other side. A medium-difficulty route—beautiful and unforgettable.

Twin Towns Nova Gorica–Gorizia: explore the European Capital of Culture 2025
For urban explorers
If cycling is mainly your way of getting from A to B, you can rent a city or e-bike right in front of the hotel via the GO2GO network and start exploring! Do not miss the charming Piazza Transalpina/Trg Evrope and the “old Gorizia” on the Italian side, with its narrow streets, cafés, and a castle overlooking the city.
